eBay DESCRIPTION VINTAGE SCOTT McCLINTOCK DRESS IVORY w/LACE+SEQUIN WEDDING, SWEET 16, QUINCEANERA, BAT MITZVAH, PROM SIZE: 10 Since 1970, the enchanted lifestyle of the McClintock brand delights in bringing “that” special occasion dress to it’s adoring clientele. “At the core of the McClintock success is a promise — every product that carries the name will always be represented by great design, value, and accessible pricing － and the essence of romance and beauty”. Offered here is such a dress, by Scott McClintock for life’s most important occasions from Sweet 16, quinceanera, bat mitzvah, prom, and of course, weddings. This vintage strapless, floral lace dress is a heavenly. Understated ball gown-style features a fitted bodice, drop waist that gracefully balloons down, grazing the shoe. Considered the most classic of all silhouettes, this design offers an instant Princess/Cinderella effect for the wearer. The ball gown-style dress features a fitted corset style bodice, with boned ribbing for support, and is embellished with iridescent sequined bands at neckline and hip. Jeweled neckline puts focus on the face and highlights the bride’s unique features, strong shoulders, a graceful neck, gorgeous hair and/or veil. The dress is constructed in three layers, the top layer, full coverage of ivory Alençon lace, with fine netting background and corded outlined floral rose pattern. The second layer, and bodice lining, is a pale ivory, lightweight satin taffeta with low sheen (a bit of shine looks great in photos). This fabric acts as the under layer to the lace dress. The inner layer, a beautiful nylon crinoline, edged in scalloped lace, creates the full A-line, princess style skirt. Note: a half-slip will be required for those who find this material a bit stiff. The back scoops, but not too low, with zipper and finishes with a satin bow that snaps. (Note: Feeling creative? To make this dress your own, one could add a train from the bow, in netting or fabric, harmonizing or contrasting. Here, there is much potential if a grander statement is desired.) This gown is romantic, feminine, sexy, and elegant, a timeless classic design. True to the McClintock design philosophy “romance is beauty that touches the emotional part of our being”, this dress is nothing less.
