This Wonderful Art – Deco Rolex Prima is bearing 9K hallmarks for Glasgow denoting the letter ‘F’ dating to ‘1928’. This is a unique cocktail watch featuring a much sought after Dial with an auxiliary seconds register which is a rare for a ladies watch of the era. Wear it alone or stack it with bracelets and you are sure to make a fashion statement. A wonderful Manual wind Ladies 9 carat yellow Gold Rolex from horology’s most famous name. The Gold plated expandable bracelet fits upto an extra large wrist circumference of 8 inches or can be worn by a smaller size. The original dial is signed ‘Rolex under ‘12’ with Swiss Made at the very bottom the case and the 15 jewel movement are both signed Rolex. Recently serviced by a Rolex specialist watchmaker, with no issues to report keeping good time, ready to treasure and enjoy! Rolex marketed this watch to the Lady who placed perfection before price and “Created by perfectionists for perfectionists” and it's easy to see why when you look at this wonderful sophisticated example. Encased in a 9 carat solid gold 22mm cushion case, which has been preserved remarkably well with some age related marks and wear, the ‘pièce de résistance’ of this piece is of course the squared case which has been profusely made and incredibly characteristic defining the watch’s aesthetic. This Rolex is a very rare find, certainly in such good running order, and will simply never go out of style. The aftermarket expandable gold plated bracelet simply fits your wrist in pure elegant style – It is the epitome of style and elegance, not to pass! The Original Dial: The dial is signed Rolex below ‘12’ o clock along with ‘Swiss Made’ at the very bottom. This is a unique dial is very rare as most ladies Rolex’s of the era did not feature the auxiliary seconds dial. Carries applied Arabic numerals with an outer chapter ring featuring minute indices. Blue steel Breguet handset which is in very good condition for the age – Dial has marks and foxing all over commensurate with age and wear. Please observe photographs carefully. Original Movement: Signed Rolex Prima 15 Rubies Swiss Made Fab Suisse – Rolex went to considerable trouble and expense to ensure its small 8.75 lignes series movements performed equally as well as its larger gents movements, and they succeeded! These are indeed high precision movements and the example here is running beautifully – The high grade 15 jewel hand-wound movement is in incredibly clean and sparkling condition and has been serviced by a Rolex specialist watchmaker with no issues to report, keeping good time. This particular movement is in beautiful condition and with similar care and regular servicing, say every 3 to 4 years, one can expect this watch to continue to run very happily for many more decades to come! Original Case: This square case has a wonderful decorative design to the sides. The two-piece snap back case is 9 carat yellow Gold case measures 22mm square excluding the crown, bearing hallmarks. Has surface hairline scratches associated with precious polished metals commensurate with age and wear. Case Back Cover Outer: The press fit hinged case-back clicks into place with a firm and satisfying ‘pop’, indicating it is a nice tight fit and is of full thickness.
