Please read at least the first two paragraphs before buying this auction. This is a Premium REBUILD SERVICE for YOUR Carter YH Side Draft Carburetor by Wolf Enterprises. You will get your own better carb back. It is rebuilt by the best and largest YH carburetor rebuilder in the world. The carb is recolored in OEM style and sealed with a high quality clear engine grade enamel. If you prefer a different color than stock, just let me know and pay a $8 charge. The best available new gaskets, seals, spring-loaded viton inlet seat/needle, pump springs, and Buna accelerator pump are used to bring it to better than new condition and make it ethanol-resistant. The throttle area will be trued, polished, and sealed against leakage and protection from contaminants. The throttle body will get Oilite bushings. You get a new correct size main metering jet and polished stainless steel fasteners for the bowl and choke cover as well as a new mixture needle and idle adjustment screw. Each carb is bench-tested and set to specifications. I have offered this service previously, but had to pull it because so many people didn’t read this part and just bought the auction and then when I sent them instructions to get their carb safely to me, their reply was often -“huh?” So, I wound up having to cancel and refund over and over for folks thinking they were buying a carburetor. So, Please check my other YH auctions if you don’t have one to send as I have them for direct sale for all years. The shipping time is only a swag, as I don’t know how long it will take you to ship your carb to me. It will, however, only take a couple of days to get it back in the mail once it arrives. Typical turn around is about a week, depending which shipping method you choose. I rebuild about 50-60 of these particular carbs each year (and I really did help with a book written on how to rebuild them – and all of the examples and pictures in it are my carbs), so you can be confident that it will be right. Many carbs out there still have a “factory flaw” that was typical poor quality control at the time they were manufactured, so I check and correct the problem that causes fuel to drip into the carb at idle and after shut down. The auction photos are actual customer carbs. Please write with any questions and I can reply via ebay or telephone if you wish. I do not post your personal questions on ebay, so feel free to ask anything. Here is my only “disclaimer”: While I have resurrected many of these antiques, there are some that are beyond repair. If you send a carb which has internal damage from a previous rebuild attempt or passages that can not be unplugged, I will inform you and return the unit at your cost after refunding what you paid for the rebuild service. We can avoid this if you can send a couple of pictures of your unit. I can replace any missing parts that are included in rebuild kits, but not missing hardware. So, if you think there will be any sort of problem, particularly with units that have not recently been in service, please drop me a note (or picture) before buying the auction, so we can discuss whether there might be any additional costs.
