From Asahi Optical Company, here is the unique Motor Drive Unit and a Motor Drive capable Spotmatic body. The motor drive system was offered on the Spotmatic and Spotmatic F which were special bodies designed to accept the motorized unit. It may also be used with the Pentax ES II which has a different motor drive so be sure that you do your research before purchasing if this is for use with the ES II. The system could be used with either the standard 36 exposure roll that the cameras could normally accept, or, if you removed the camera back and attached the bulk film magazine, it would give you up to 250 exposures. There are a couple of listings on Ebay with Sellers offering the instruction and operators manual for the Motor Drives so if you purchase it, I would advise that you obtain the manual because I have never used either the Motor Drive or the Spotmatic that is attached to it as I purchased these items for visual display in my collection. As such, you purchase for that purpose or if you intend to use these items, at your own risk. The motor drive is in Mint condition. The Spotmatic Camera is in Very Good condition with the only noticeable problems being a dent in the prism housing (prism housings can be changed) and some friction marks on the bottom from being mated to the Motor Drive. (Not seen when attached to the Motor Drive). Comes with Motor Drive battery meter. The motor drive is missing the device that holds the batteries and is inserted into the motor drive trigger unit. Comes with the f/1.4 50mm Super-Takumar lens that is fungus free and clear. Weight with Spotmatic camera: 3 lbs 1.5 oz. Measurements w/camera & lens: 23″ x 5 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ The Set 250 bulk film magazine is not included in this listing, but is listed separately should you be interested. I can combine ship, but no discounts for purchasing both items. Motor Drives and Motor Drive Spotmatics are hard to come by, especially in such overall nice condition.
