Triplett 3399 Fox & Hound Wire Tracing Kit **Open Box**Get the combined force of a versatile toner and probe, with the Triplett 3399 Fox & Hound™ Wire Tracing Kit. It includes the Fox 2™ Tone Generator (toner) and the high performance Hound 3™ Inductive Amplifier (probe). Together they generate multiple tones, provide a visual and audible continuity test, integrate True Trace and TripLatch tests, all while utilizing the Hound 3’s™ battery operated handheld probe with Sensitivity Control and Signal Strength Indicator LED. It improves previous designs with built-in LED headlights to illuminate dark areas and reduce florescent light noise, a bandpass filter to suppress unwanted frequencies, an earphone jack for noisy or quiet work areas, and an easy access battery cover.Good to Excellent ConditionOur Open Box Items are like new and range from good to excellent condition. Many of the products we sell as Open Box have never actually been removed from the carton, only returned by the purchaser for various reasons. Add in the red/green telephone line polarity LED, tone/battery LED to indicate that the tracer tone is on, overload protection, and a 3 year limited warranty, and the Fox 2 is a must have.The Hound 3Adjustable sensitivity and loudness control are just a couple of the features of the Hound 3. It also includes a bandpass filter that surprises 60Hz and high frequency noise, identifies the Fox 2’s tracer tone from up to 12” away, and illuminates dark areas with headlights to reduce florescent light noise. A built-in signal strength indicator also helps out while the earphone jack is perfect for use in quiet or noisy environments. As if that weren’t enough, the rugged and moisture resistant, the Hound 3 is protected by a 3 year limited warranty.Triplett Test Equipment & ToolsTriplett Corporation was founded in 1904 in Bluffton, Ohio by Ray L. Triplett. Triplett’s first innovative product was the “Hot Wire” meter, an electrical test meter housed in a watch case. Innovation continued… the READRITE Model 201 tube tester in the 1920’s, the 1200 series Radio Tuning Tester in the 1930’s, and meters for the U.S. Signal Corps during World War II.
