Gunnar Nylund Large Vase Rorstrand Rörstrand 50s Sweden Stoneware Scandinavian #1967 A nice and special stoneware vase with blue and brownish slightly black matte glaze. Design, Gunnar Nylund, Rorstrand, handmade around 1950s in Sweden. Maker/Stamp Three crowns, R ( Rörstrand ), Rubus, GN (Gunnar Nylund), Sweden Size High: 22.5 cm Diameter:7.5cm Condition Checked with UV Light, no cracks or nicks found. As with all handcrafted pottery there could be slight variations in the glaze and clay. Minor scratches. General wear. Gunnar Nylund – Ceramics from Rörstrand Gunnar Nylund (1904-1997) is one of the most well-known representatives of the illustrious Swedish ceramic design of the 20th century. He was the artistic leader for the Rörstrand factory in the 1940s and 1950s. Nylund is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
