This stunning grand lamp is a rare find and a beautiful example of vintage Italian porcelain, hand gilded and made in ITALY by MARBRO, in the mid century, it is vintage circa 1960.The lamp body features a curved urn shape at the base, with a long graceful fluted neck leading up to a double light socket with dual pull chains. The body is made of a beautiful fine white porcelain with a glossy finish. It is adorned with wonderful hand painted designs in filigree type patterns that were popularized in the hollywood regency era. The lamp sits on an impressive wooden square base with deep molding profiles. It's highlighted by gold gilding finish.The lamp is LARGE and very impressive standing 33.75″ H from the base to the top of the finial. The lamp body is approximately 9″ diameter at its widest. The base is approx. 6″ wide and 3.5″ H.These lamps are becoming harder to find and due to the vintage age, this lamp does have wear. Please review all photos. The lamp does have a chip mid-way along the neck. It is on the right side of the lamp, when the plug in cord is positioned in the back. The lamp finial paint shows loss of gilding finish. The base of the lamp has slight wear to the gilding. Overall this lamp is in great condition and is a beautiful piece that will add Italian MCM elegance to your space!
