This is a PC copy of the numbered issue, limited to 350 numbered books and a small group of PC (publisher’s) copies. Paul Suntup gave this PC copy to Michael Russem in acknowledgement of his work as the book’s designer.The novelization of the horror film with a new afterword by the author and illustrations by Juliana Kolesova. According to the Suntup website, these are the only copies of The Omen that Seltzer ever signed.The numbered edition has “a flatback Bradel binding with handmade marbled paper over the front board, and black European cloth covering the spine and back cover. The marbled papers are custom made for this edition in France by Claire Guillot. Cover and spine labels are foil stamped on Hahnemühle Bugra, and the endsheets are black Bugra. The edition is housed in a die-cut slipcase covered with an acrylic-coated embossed paper. This edition is signed by David Seltzer and Juliana Kolesova.” This copy is also signed by Russem on the colophon.Michael Russem designed and printed innovative fine press books for his own Kat Ran Press for many years; he now runs a design bookstore and gallery near Cambridge, Massachusetts, and he also designs books for many publishers. Among the books he designed for Suntup Press include Slaughterhouse-Five, Silence of the Lambs, Blood Meridian, and The Handmaid’s Tale. With six full-page color illustrations by Kolesova. Fine / Near fine. A fine copy in a near fine unprinted clear jacket that has a few surface scuffs on the back panel. The slipcase has a shallow scratch below and to the left of the die-cut window which is visible in raking light. The colophon is signed by Seltzer, Kolesova, and the book designer.
