Our 2 inch (50mm) Ultimate lift kit is designed to give you as much as 2 inches (50mm) of lift while minimizing axle angle and maintaining geometry of suspension components. Works best with stock OEM springs and struts. This kit does not require disassembling the struts.Complete kit includes: 4 steel suspension lift spacers, trailing arm spacers, adjustable ball joints, and adjustable rear upper control arms.All kits are powder coated for a durable, attractive finish and include grade 10.9 hardware and detailed installation instructions. You can fit a 235/75/15 with some minor trimming to the plastic fender guards and flattening the pinch weld in the front wheel arch. We do not recommend going above 30″ due to the poor gearing that results from the larger diameter tires. Q: How is the amount of lift measured?A: The amount of actual lift is measured from the fender lip to the ground. Q: “Will I need an alignment after installing this kit?”A: Yes, just as if you lowered your car, lifting changes the wheel alignment. Q: “Will lifting my car affect the axles?”A: Sometimes. It depends on the amount of lift and the type of axles you have in your vehicle. Worn original or parts store rebuilt axles are more prone to having issues. This kit is designed to solve the axle issues common to lifting the 97-01 CRV. However, lift heights can vary depending on the condition of the existing suspension and therefore we cannot guarantee there will be no axle issues. For best results, install new axles and do not combine this kit with lift springs or other spacers. Q: “Do I need to replace my suspension bushings when installing a lift kit?”A: It depends on the condition of your existing bushings. We always recommend inspecting your factory bushings and replacing them with urethane bushings such as Energy Suspension if needed. The added benefit of installing urethane bushings is that it allows the suspension to move more freely. We also recommend replacing sway bar end links on 97-01 CRV after 100k as they tend to rattle when going over bumps. Q: “Will lifting my car negatively affect the handling?”A: In most cases, yes. By lifting the suspension you are effectively raising the roll center of the car, which can cause additional body roll. Our lift kits are intended for off-road use where suspension travel and ground clearance are more important.
